How to reach Injury Handbook to report an error on a rule, deadline or calculator. We can't answer questions about individual cases or recommend lawyers.

Found a mistake, or have a question about something we published? Email us at contact@injuryhandbook.com.

This page is general information, not legal, tax or medical advice, and not a substitute for the advice of an attorney. Injury law and deadlines vary by state and change. Ask a lawyer or the court about your situation.

We can’t answer questions about your case

We are not a law firm, and writing to us creates no attorney-client relationship. We can’t answer questions about individual cases or claims. That means we can’t say what your claim is worth, what your deadline is, whether an offer is good, or whether to sue, settle or accept. We can’t recommend a lawyer, and we don’t refer anyone to one. Writing to us does not stop a deadline running.

If you need legal help, a lawyer can look at your case, and the Legal Services Corporation’s search finds legal aid offices it funds. If you have a court date or a court paper, contact the court named on it. For a question about your policy or a claim, ask the insurer in writing. If you are hurt or in danger, call 911.

Reporting an error

Please include the address of the page, the deadline, rule, figure or sentence you think is wrong, and a link to a statute, court page or official source for the right information if you have one. We check every report against the source. Law changes often, so a report that a rule has changed is especially welcome. Our corrections page explains what happens next.

Lawyers, advertisers and companies

We don’t sell sponsored posts, links, reviews, listings or placements, and we don’t take affiliate deals, sell leads, make referrals or work with settlement lenders. If you publish a figure we cite, or a fact on our page about your field is wrong, send a source and we will check it like any other report.

What not to send

Please don’t send medical records, police or accident reports, claim or policy numbers, settlement papers, Social Security numbers or other personal details, yours or anyone else’s. We don’t need them to check a page. Our privacy policy explains how we handle what you send us.
